Magazine covers

Early Magazine Covers- They did not have anything on the front real, just a title and table of contents, or usually just a title and publication date. They did not have any cover lines. It wasn't until the 1800's when they started putting illustrated pictures on the covers.

The Post Cover- These type of magazine covers started to dominate the industry being made up from illustrations from artists, the best of the best made illustrations for magazines. In these covers there are no cover lines or themes. This type of covers is made to introduce magazines

Pictures Married to type- This type of cover mainly introduced cover lines, they left a aesthetic imprint of the era. This era of covers, helped introduce new cover ideas and at. there is activity and repose in this type of cover.

In The Forest of Words This cover was introduced around the 1930, the cover lines were the same size of the magazines. Cover lines were just as important as art. Usually liked using powerful pictures.
